As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated, customer-focused Sales Associate to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:
The Sales Associate will be an integral part of our dealership’s sales team, responsible for assisting customers in selecting and purchasing pre-owned vehicles. This role requires a combination of customer service, product knowledge, and sales skills to ensure the best possible experience for customers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cars, understand the car-buying process, and possess a strong drive to meet sales targets while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

  1. Customer Interaction & Consultation:

    • Greet and assist customers as they enter the dealership, providing them with information on the available pre-owned cars.
    • Conduct needs assessments to understand customer requirements, such as budget, vehicle type, and preferred features.
    • Present customers with vehicle options that match their preferences and offer test drives to demonstrate the vehicles’ features and benefits.
    • Provide customers with detailed information on the history, condition, and pricing of each vehicle.
    • Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met throughout the car-buying process.
  2. Sales & Negotiation:

    • Drive sales by effectively presenting the benefits of the vehicles in stock and addressing customer concerns.
    • Assist customers with financing options, explaining payment plans, interest rates, and trade-in opportunities.
    • Work closely with the Finance Department to process sales agreements, finalize contracts, and ensure smooth transactions.
    • Negotiate pricing, trade-in values, and additional product offerings to reach a mutually beneficial agreement.
    • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the dealership.
  3. Vehicle Knowledge & Inventory Management:

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the dealership’s inventory, including the make, model, year, mileage, and pricing of each pre-owned vehicle.
    • Stay informed on the latest trends in the automotive industry, including popular models, market pricing, and technological advancements.
    • Work closely with the Inventory Manager to ensure that all vehicles are properly displayed, well-maintained, and ready for customer viewing.
    • Coordinate vehicle inspections and ensure that all pre-owned cars are in good working order before being shown to customers.
  4. Customer Service & Satisfaction:

    • Ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, from initial inquiry to post-purchase follow-up.
    • Address customer concerns and inquiries in a timely and professional manner, providing solutions that meet their needs.
    • Actively follow up with customers after the sale to ensure satisfaction, request feedback, and promote customer retention.
    • Provide support for any post-sale issues such as warranty questions or service inquiries, ensuring a smooth transition to ownership.
  5. Sales Reporting & Administrative Tasks:

    • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activity, and inventory management through the dealership’s CRM system.
    • Report sales progress, customer feedback, and market conditions to the Sales Manager regularly.
    • Assist with maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring that vehicles are properly showcased and presentable at all times.
    • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss strategies, sales techniques, and dealership goals.
  6. Team Collaboration:

    • Work closely with fellow sales associates and the service team to ensure all customer needs are met.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing Department to support promotional campaigns, special offers, and events designed to attract customers to the dealership.
    • Share product knowledge, sales techniques, and best practices with other team members to improve overall dealership performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in automotive sales, customer service, or retail is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, particularly pre-owned vehicles, is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage customers and build rapport quickly.
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and drive business growth.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong attention to detail.
  • High level of professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
  • Basic knowledge of financing and trade-in processes.
  • Ability to learn and use dealership management software and CRM tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
